Ke Nako! It is time! The atmosphere is electric. The vibe is indescribable and the mood of the country can be read on the smiles of the faces of our rainbow nation. Never before has an event of this nature united a country and a nation behind one team as it has in this FIFA World Cup 2010. A team of 11 individuals that carry the hopes and dreams of 45 million flag-bearing, vuvuzela-blowing, yellow-jerseyed fans. I am proud to be a South African. Frankly, I don't care if we make it through the first round or don't win a game at all. The fact that as a nation we have set aside racial, political and cultural differences to produce a spectacle of this enormity is reward enough. The positive effects of the World Cup will stay with us years after the final whistle has blown. The question is "What are you doing to contribute to its success?" Ke Nako! It is time!
