"A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH" - RE/MAX PROPERTY ASSOCIATESThe real estate office that opened in the exact same spot that RE/MAX Property Associates in Blouberg used to occupy created the false impression that this RE/MAX office is now operating under another real estate brand. Caron Leslie and Jose' de Abreu, Broker/Owners of RE/MAX Property Associates, who have award-winning offices in Blouberg, Table View, Parklands, Pinelands and Tygervalley, set the record straight. "It's business as usual at the RE/MAX Property Associates office in Blouberg. We relocated to more prominent premises situated at Eden on the Bay, a prime shopping and lifestyle destination on Blouberg's Big Bay." Leslie says confusion set in because one of their 120 estate agents was awarded a franchise with a competitor brand in the very same location RE/MAX Property Associates use to operate from before they relocated to Eden on the Bay. "This caused some people to believe that RE/MAX Property Associates in Blouberg closed its doors, which is certainly not the case," confirms Adrian Goslett, CEO of RE/MAX of Southern Africa. RE/MAX Property Associates won two national awards, namely the Best Multi-Office Broker/Owner of the Year award as well as the Best Multi-Office with Highest Sales Volumes by Registered Commission award at the real estate leader's prize-giving ceremony in Cape Town recently. RE/MAX Property Associates also cleaned up the award category for the Cape's top three sales teams by registered commission. Commenting on property sales in the area, Leslie said that sales are up by 50% compared to the same period last year. "The area offers excellent value for money, especially for first-time homebuyers who will find an entry-level one-bedroom home from R325 000 and an entry-level one-bedroom apartment from R340 000 in Table View. Fairly new three bedroom homes can be found at affordable prices, reaching anything between R800 000 and R900 000 while upper-end properties sell from anything between R5-million to R10-million. RE/MAX Property Associates concluded a sale of R10,3-million in Blouberg Strand recently. As far as developments in the area are concerned, the area will be the first to embrace the rapid bus transport system. "Many beach-front developments are also under construction because of the lifestyle the area offers. At the end of the day, the area not only appeals to its residents but also to tourists as it is a popular kite surfing and water sport destination," says Leslie. She adds that although finance remains a challenge given current economic conditions, there are many cash buyers out there who will invest in property that is priced correctly.
